I really wish these guys would stop eating my Desert Rose 😦
…. but those ravenous little fellows may be the butterflies of May…. V.
Oh yes, they will be polka dotted wasp moths, but I would like to have a plant left after they are done 🙂
I downloaded the first image and played around with it for a bit.
It’s interesting to me that you got that much depth of field with f/8.
I wish I could show you my take on it. I cropped it down, darkened the background, sharpened the general face area (necessary after cropping), tuned down the flowers, and brightened the subject.
The bright pink flowers compete with the tones of the main subject. I changed their hue to blueish, and saturated the eyes of the butterfly. It worked.
Great shots by the way.
I wish I had your zeal for post-processing! It just isn’t the part of photography that I’m most passionate about. I appreciate how much it can improve an image and I am starting to get into it. But dang, just learning the camera and keeping up with a blog is time consuming enough 🙂 one of these days it’ll all come together 😉 I would really like to see what you did with the image, my public email is firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to send it to me.
