Waterlogged
A short drive south of here is a place called Blue Cypress Lake. Looking at the map I was surprised it was so close, I’m thinking “why have I never been there?”
Well, the drive there was scenic and pastoral – easy to get to. But oh, my disappointment! No hiking trails, barely any shore access; they were waterlogged there.
Plan for next time… rent a boat! It is beautiful there, the water is clear, birds are everywhere. So I didn’t get the lake view scenes that I wanted, I met some nice people and had a good drive.
- A nice pond for the cows and a pretty scene for me
- Barbed wire with spider webs
- Sprawling weeds
- I like how ‘red’ is peeking through the grass. The cows were so skittish…
- Blushed vine on post
- Peaceful
- Beautiful old tree dressed in moss and sunshine
- Giant
- Fishing perch near the edge of the lake
- One board is sturdy, the other… not so much
- Reflections in the small marina by the bait shop
- The best view of the lake. Taken from a small bridge over the entrance of the marina.
